B & B Aquatics
started in the home of Barbara Archie (formerly Barber — Yes,
Barbara Barber, hence the B & B). Raising 5 daughters, all
former swimmers, sprouted the idea of selling suits.
Swimming in St.
Louis continued to grow. The demand for swimwear and accessories
followed. In 1980, Barbara opened her first store, B & B Sports
& Swim. All 5 daughters were periodically employed there over
the years, but one eventually came back to work full-time. Allison Schwent started back in 1997, eager to help the business &
swimming grow even further.
In 1998, Barbara
opened a second St. Louis store that Allison has been managing.
Both locations carry a wide variety of swimwear and accessories
for all ages. We specialize exclusively in swimming, catering
to the competitive, fitness, and recreational swimmers, as well as
waterpolo players and divers.
